I was feeling pretty low earlier today and they always says exercise is good for your mood, so I decided I would venture out with the dogs. Due to having an operation on my knee 3 weeks ago, I have been pretty much idle and resting.
Warm coat, dogs on leads, poobags and walking stick in hand, we all ventured out. Struggling with two energetic Staffies and a walking stick was fun, but we took it steady, playing dodge the dog poo left by inconsiderate owners.
There is a field only 10 minutes walk away, so I decided to let the dogs off for a good run, walking slowly behind them with my stick until Sally- the youngest decided to run into me and…knock me off balance and into the mud!
We all came back home covered in mud- the dogs from play fighting in the muddy field and me from landing in the mud. Needless to say, dogs cleaned, coat and clothes in the wash and a nice cup of coffee to rest.
According to my FitBit, out 30 minutes and just over a kilometre walked, my knee feels warm, but my mood is better. As to the dogs…they’re both sleeping.
