On Saturday, the Fighting 4 Louth Hospital campaign group carried out a survey of over 200 people in Louth and shockingly 79% of people surveyed DID NOT KNOW that Louth Hospital no longer has an Accident and Emergency and no longer has facilities for Coronary Care. Only 21% were aware of the cuts.

Following on from this, suddenly the number of beds in the remaining wards were reduced. Anyone cynical would view this as another nail in Louth Hospital’s coffin. I hope I am wrong as both my family, friends and me have benefited from services provided by the hospital in the past.
