I read with interest recently an article which confirmed which I had suspected known for a long time, that Juice Plus is nothing more than a multi-level-marketing scam. You see all these claims on Facebook by people who have lost weight, cured illnesses etc. etc., but in reality are just after parting you with your money.
What is worrying, I could sign up as a “consultant” for these products with absolutely zero medical training, just going to these “training events” hosted by the organisers which simply brainwash you into believing this stuff is the real deal. You then come away wanting to sell the stuff and feel qualified to diagnose everything from weight loss, diabetes, to…. dare I say it…..cancer!
Indeed, consumer champion BBC Watchdog had reviewed the claims made by Juice+, in this video and surprise, surprise..they are false when scrutinized by a medically qualified dietitian.
These so called “wonder supplements” are (in my and other’s professional opinions) just multi level marketing scams preying on the vulnerable who are persuaded into believing they are the “wonder cure”. They are only making the owners of these companies and the unqualified brainwashed “salespeople”of these companies rich.
This is not just an online get-rich-quick-scam, a person makes this sh*t up and people go in their droves to listen and lap up the bullsh*t. I attended one of these events once and you come away feeling “empowered that their product is the best since sliced bread and people who claim otherwise or don’t ‘subscribe to the bs’ are nutters”. Before you start ranting at me… been there, done that, worn the t-shirt and paid the price!
It’s time they were stopped. Well done Watchdog!
