What Robin Williams once quoted, it is true, the weather does affect your mood. Today I woke up with a bit of a shaky start and due to a late delivery I thought my day would go downhill.
Not so, I met up with some friends in the town centre for coffee and meeting and returned home to start my work day (at lunchtime!) After sprinting through the deliveries and arriving back home just before 3pm, I decided to spend the rest of the day in the garden and although tired myself out, thoroughly enjoyed myself. The birds singing, the sun, the warmth, the peace and quiet – except a neighbouring cockerel 🙂
Grass cut, weeding and planting done, it was time to treat the dogs to a long run on a field on the outskirts of town. After being out for what seemed like ages, I decided to return home as to end the day off, I’m off out for a meal with friends tonight.
My knee is throbbing – 7 weeks post-op, I feel tired but by heck my mood is really good and I didn’t once feel like “crashing” and sleeping in the afternoon when my anxiety hits.
That’s the attitude – keep working on it and stay positive. So glad you now seem to have some really good friends – looking forward to your visit x
Thanks. Looking forward to May/June too x
